The WV FOODLINK is a one-stop shop for finding out everything you need to know about accessing the emergency food system in West Virginia.

You can search by county, see a map, and find the whereabouts and hours or your local food pantries, WIC offices, Department of Health and Human Resources office, etc.

General About the Organization/Mission

WV FOODLINK is a resource hub aimed to connect individuals with emergency food resources. It is a project of the Food Justice Laboratory of West Virginia University and housed in the University's Department of Geology and Geography.

WV FOODLINK's support of a "people-centered, resilient food network in Appalachia" is guided by a vision that "all people must have access to safe, nutritious and culturally appropriate food in sufficient quantity and quality to sustain healthy life with human dignity."

Through collaboration with community partners, WV FOODLINK has developed an interactive atlas, map and blog / forum outlining the location of and detailed information about emergency food providers and their allies across the state of West Virginia.

"WV FOODLINK is supported by grants from the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation and the Appalachian Foodshed Project. Seed funding came from a public service award from West Virginia University."
