The Bottom Dwellers are an alt.country, classic honky tonk and Americana band from Woodland California. They frequent the bar, casino and festival circuit in the Northern California area playing a wide range of original music as well as classic western swing, schmaltsy country tunes, and traditional Americana. Their music is featured on local country, folk and bluegrass radio shows on KDVS 90.3 FM in Davis and KVMR 89.5 FM in Nevada City.

History

The Bottom Dwellers were founded in 2003 by current members, Ivan Sohrakoff (vocals, guitar, banjo, accordion), Chris Eynon (drums), Adam Hancock (guitar, vocals, lap steel, ukulele), and Mark Eagleton (double bass).

In 2003, they released a 7 song demo CD featuring some original music as well as a few covers.

The band released their their first full length recording in 2005 called Twang Americana, which features 18 tracks of original material. In August of 2005, the song "Company Truck" was featured on the nationally syndicated Car Talk on NPR.

In 2007, the Bottom Dwellers took home a Reader's Choice award at the Sacramento Area Music Awards (SAMMIES) for best Country/Bluegrass Band.
