Wellesley Fire

Fire raged for hours on 24th Floor of 200 Wellesley Street.

200 Wellesley Street is an apartment tower in St. James Town.

It is a Toronto Community Housing building.

On Friday September 24 2010, a fire began on one of the upper floors and raged for hours.

The entire building has been evacuated, resulting in over 1,700 people being homeless.

Residents have been staying in the Wellesley Community Centre which is now acting as a shelter.
