Lake Tynan is a small lake near the city limits of Watsonville. Lake Tynan is surrounded by private property. The few access roads are posted with trespassing warnings. Center of lake: 36.9288°N 121.728°W Elevation: 36 feet (11 meters)

The U.S. Board on Geographic Names has it listed as "Lake Tynan" and this is shown on the USGS maps. Historically, the name started as Lake Tynan. Some maps have it listed as "Tynan Lake."

History Lake Tynan gets the name from James Tynan, a farmer in the latter 1800's. His property ajoined the lake.

Businesses Lake Tynan is surrounded by farmland and residential areas.

Transportation It is possible to glimpse the lake along parts of Lakeview Road. No bus service to the lake. Bus Route 79 goes to Lakeview Road.
