The City of Oakland is considering streamlining its rules and regulations for mobile food vending. The City recognizes that with proper management, food vending can be a great way to encourage walking, add vitality to streets and neighborhoods, and promote local economic development.

 

The City will be hosting four informational workshops about food vending in Oakland, and the public is welcome to attend one, or all, of the following workshops: 

August 25, 2015, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Fruitvale-San Antonio Senior Center Multi-Purpose Room (3301 E. 12th Street). Located in the Fruitvale Transit Village.  Spanish-language interpretation will be available. 

August 26, 2015, 3:30-6:30 p.m. Lincoln Square Recreation Center, gymnasium (250 10th Street).   Cantonese-language interpretation will be available. 

September 1, 20155:30-7:30 p.m. West Oakland Senior Center (1724 Adeline Street). Please contact us if interpretation services are needed. 

September 3, 20155:30-7:30 p.m. Oakland Public Library, 81st Avenue Branch (1021 81st Avenue, 2nd Floor). Please contact us if interpretation services are needed.
