Illini Fighting Hunger is a student group at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a program of the Wesley United Methodist Church and Foundation.

IFH was founded out of a desire to address local and international hunger issues by making meal packaging events more frequent, more accessible, and more effective in Champaign-Urbana.

IFH enables students to support community partners such as religious organizations, schools, scouting troops and student organizations to organize meal-packaging events of all sizes as a way to bring people together and help their community.

IFH provides the equipment for meal-packaging and the networks for purchasing raw food product and supplies and for distributing the final product – a nutritious meal that is distributed free of charge to the people who need it most. This allows the organization putting on the event, called the Community Partner, to focus on fundraising for their event, recruiting volunteers, andeducating participants about hunger issues in our community and abroad.
