The Pine Street Community Development Center sponsors a food bank, free health clinic, and pre-school program free of charge. The program also offers haircuts, hot meals, and opportunities for children and their families to meet and talk with community leaders and role models in the field of education or strong advocates for education.
One of the primary organizers of the Pine Street Clinic was awarded an honorary degree from Hendrix College in 2011. (More information needed).
