The Conway Police Department (CPD) provides law enforcement for the town of Conway and investigates crime. The Conway Police Department has 157 personnel serving an estimated population of approximately 57,000 residents and over 40 square miles of jurisdiction. Chief Allen (A.J.) Gary joined the department ??When??. The department has the unenviable job of keeping the peace between long term residents and students in a college town.
The Conway Police Department building was built in 2008/2009 and replaced the old Conway Police Department Building in Downtown.

Daily crime reports

Various people have different opinions about police enforcement no matter where you live. Due to their strict enforcement of Conway's noise laws, they are sometimes referred to by students as "Professional Party Poopers." Others point out that theirs is a thankless job, and that you can't make everybody happy at once, especially while enforcing laws that you didn't write.
